　風が通り抜けるとひとりでに音を奏でるエオリアン・ハープ。不思議な発音方法と繊細で神秘的な音色のため、非常に古くから人々を魅了してきた。しかし、現在では都市の喧噪に飲み込まれるようにほとんど失われつつある。本稿では、エオリアン・ハープの歴史的な背景をおさえながら、独特な発音原理を紐解いていく。そして、オーストラリアやアメリカで活躍しているエオリアン・ハープ・アーティストの作品、著者によるエオリアン・ハープの実践を紹介していく。多くのアーティストは主に安定した風の吹く広大な土地の中で実践を行なっている。しかし、著者は住んでいる都市にエオリアン・ハープを組み込むことを考えた。普段感じている都市特有の複雑な風をエオリアン・ハープの音を通じて改めて感じ、日常的な感覚をより鋭敏にするためである。また、こうした体験を通じて制作した新たなエオリアン・ハープを紹介し、現代におけるエオリアン・ハープの可能性を探る。
　When the wind passes, the Aeolian Harp automatically plays the sound. People have been enchanted by Aeolian Harp from ancient times, since its sounding principle is wonderful, and the tone is mysterious. However, it is being lost now. In this text, the history and the principle of Aeolian Harp are described. And, it introduces the practice of overseas artists and the author. A lot of artists practice Aeolian Harp in huge place where a steady wind blows. But, I propose one in urban area in order to feel anew the complex wind there through the sound of Aeolian Harp. Moreover, I introduce the new Aeolian Harp produced through such an experience, and search for a new possibility of Aeolian Harp.
