The animation below is an example of continuous transition from "fractal deformation" to "continuous deformation" produced by the technique using non-integers kb* and ke* described in Section 5.4. The value of ke* is 9. The value of kb* changes from 0 to 9 (= ke*) continuously, and returns to 0 to repeat the animation. During the transition below, the displacement vector function Fv given to the gasket is unchanged over time t (this is indicated by the motionless white grid representing the function Fv).

The localization of the scattering of the displacement vectors by Fv changes continuously.
